I · The Philosophy

The trinity
of balance.

Tris — the three. In the old Sanskrit, the number that moves the world: manas, sarira, atman. Mind, body, spirit. Each ritual we perform is composed for one, and ends by restoring all three.
I · Manas

Mind.

Stillness as a discipline. We begin every ritual with breath, silence and a single sip of tulsi-infused water — returning the nervous system to its unhurried baseline before a hand ever touches skin.

So ham · I am that
II · Sarira

Body.

Warmed oils pressed from the coconut, gingelly and castor of our own coast. Pressure calibrated to dosha, not protocol — each hour shaped to what your body, on this day, is asking of us.

Anna Maya · The food sheath
III · Atman

Spirit.

Closure over a brass cup of spiced herbal tea in the quiet room — a pause long enough for the stillness to feel like memory. You leave lighter; the sanctuary remembers you.

Om · the returning breath
II · The Rituals

Signatures for every
hour of the day.

I walked in carrying the airport, the week, the year. An hour and a half later I walked out without any of them. The Abhyanga at Tris is the best I have had outside of the Ayurveda heartland.

The smell of the room alone is worth the trip. Sandalwood, lit wick, something green I could not name. By the time the therapist began I had already softened a full size.

Every detail — from the brass oil lamp at the entrance to the way the therapist bowed before beginning — spoke of a place that takes itself, and you, very seriously. A rare thing.
